Global Conversation: Elementary School Art Education
As literacy education becomes increasingly important, art educators teach their students life through art projects and help them develop vital life skills and competence, such as problem-solving skills, interdisciplinary study, and collaborative learning, etc.
Looking into some outstanding teaching projects, we realize the cornerstones of these best practices are culture, compassion, mission, and inquiry that art teachers carry with them: "What do we teach for?"
What is the starting point for art teachers to move beyond the principles of art to real-life explorations? What are their pedagogies and teaching strategies that make them a successful teacher?
WCAEA’s July online lecture will invite five elementary school teachers from different areas to share their art teaching experiences. Please join us!
